My grandmother recently told me a story. When she was a small girl, growing up in the Congregational church, she remembers young men, like James, who wished to attend seminary and serve the Lord full-time. She told me of how the church leaders and members would confirm the young man’s call by paying his way through training and offering him an internship in the church. I suppose we are asking for those “old-fashioned” ways to be resurrected.
In order for James to fulfill God’s call on his life to complete seminary and be better equipped for full-time ministry we are in need of financial assistance. We are not asking supporters to contribute to all of our living expenses. James is serving in a part-time ministry capacity and Joyce is seeking full-time employment in order to meet most of the financial needs of our family. However, seminary is expensive and far beyond the means of our current income. If you would like to participate in James’s seminary education you can do so by financially supporting the cost of his classes and books. To attend seminary, full-time, will cost approximately $1000 per semester. We are looking for individuals who will support us for $25-$100 per month.
